Helena is nine years old and lives in Mairena de Aljarafe, a municipality very close to the city of Seville where more than 40,000 people live and she has been responsible for the design of one of the roundabouts being built in today, precisely that of its street.
Children without fear and without prejudice, children who want to participate in the construction of their city, children who think of others and want to inspire others. So is Helena, the youngest and most involved urban planning consultant in our country.
Helena learned that a roundabout was beginning to be built on her street and decided to write a closed and personalized letter to the mayor of Mairena de Aljarafe, to make a decoration proposal on it.
He had just seen on TV a story about refugees on the borders of Europe and that inspired him to do so.
“Since peace is so important, it has occurred to me to place some bushes that form the symbol of peace”
That is the idea, some central bushes in the roundabout forming the peace symbol.
Antonio Conde, Mayor of Mairena de Aljarafe Helena agreed on a visit he made to the girl's school during the Science Fair, coincidentally it is the same school where the mayor himself studied as a child, and days later he also wrote a letter to invite her to go to the office Mayor to discuss the issue with him personally.

The opening of the roundabout "From Helena" It is scheduled for late August or early September and its "creator" is very clear that she will be there first, surely she has more reasons than anyone to be happy and very proud of her initiative.
But Helena did not stay there, she has also proposed improvements in environmental management, truth zones or the way in which to avoid the problems and dangers that canine excrement generates that dog owners do not collect from the streets.
It is evident that she is a girl with a fresh vision, with initiative and without prejudice, as it is evident that letting the children participate in a more active way in the design of their cities sure that made them many more habitable and cozy for all its inhabitants .
