Stories of unrespected births (video)

As we mentioned yesterday in Babies and more, this week we celebrate World Week for a respected birth, a date that helps us become aware of the state of childbirth care currently, too cold and impersonal for my taste and at some point, even invasive

It seems that in the maelstrom of the current times, you will forget that the birth of a baby is a physiological and natural fact, and therefore should not be treated as a disease or an appendicitis operation. It requires greater affection and consideration towards the true protagonists that are the mother and the baby. I am not talking about returning to births for centuries, but taking advantage of the medical advances we have available today, but humanizing the process.

In the video you can see the testimonies of some mothers who are not satisfied with the deliveries they have had, or rather with those who have given them. Either for lack of information, because they have not explained things well or because they have decided for them, they have not had the births they would have dreamed of. Of course, everything is forgotten when you see your baby's face, but things are not like that. We all have the right to give birth to our children in a respectful way.

I leave you with the video, which lasts about 10 minutes, but it's worth it. Pay special attention to the words of the midwife with long years of experience.
