14 month old baby weighs 3,180 kilos

A 14-month-old girl should weigh an average of 9 kilos. However, for a mysterious cause that doctors do not know, the little Suraya Brown is that age and the weight and size of a newborn: 3,180 kilos and 48.3 cm.

Doctors do not find the key to why the girl does not gain weight or as they say "refuses to grow." You can not sit, talk or crawl, much less walk, which is what children begin to do at that age.

Suraya was born 4 weeks earlier than expected with a weight of 1,180 kilos, but most premature babies begin to gain weight immediately after birth while she did not.

When in humans there is the highest growth rate in the first twelve months of his life. Suraya practically did not gain almost any weight in the first 8 months and only began to gain something in the last six, when they put a tube through which they feed her.

One theory that doctors focus on is a failure in the body that makes it resistant to its own growth hormones. They are working on a theory, but the truth is that it is not known what future awaits the little one. Hopefully everything stays in an anecdote and has the life of a normal girl.

It is obviously an exceptional story, but it helps us not to overdo it when we tell our children that they will stay small.
