The typical, baby clothes, room with decoration appropriate to the "feminine sensibility" (pink tones and princess motifs ...), the name that cost so much to choose ... and, Oh surprise! But he is a beautiful boy!
That was not seen, we confused "the little thing" with the cord, which was not very developed ... well, until he was born they did not realize he was a male. In the end, we have all turned to ultrasound ever trying to place any part of the baby's body in a kind of abstract picture ...
A friend had everything ready for a girl, with the relevant purchases before the time, until in one of the last ultrasounds they saw that the baby was a boy ... Luckily it gave her time to change a lot of the clothes she had bought.
I do not know the opposite case, when the parents expected a boy and it turned out to be a girl, but I await your comments to know if that situation also occurs. I imagine that, although less frequent (how do you explain the “bumps” in those parts?), it is also possible.
I recommend that you opt for prenatal purchases, for unisex. By the way, you can take advantage of this clothes, the crib or decoration for future brothers, regardless of sex. Nor is it wrong to have a name of the other sex "reserve."
And the "scare" will be less if the ultrasound has been wrong and a boy comes instead of a girl or vice versa. It will cost us a bit to get the idea, but happiness is undeniable in any case. After all, there are many couples who do not mind ignoring the sex of the baby until he is born.
