The toy reproduced by the NASA Curiosity ship that was approved in Cuusoo can now be purchased in Lego

Thanks to Microsiervos I learn that the project Cuusoo has finally allowed to build the ship NASA Curiosity. It is a reproduction made with pieces of Lego of the Scientific Laboratory that is circulating on Mars. The toy has a six-wheel suspension, incorporates an articulated arm and includes 295 pieces.

The product can be purchased in the store although it seems that there will be delays in shipments because it is pending to manufacture more when the stores have been emptied by the very high demand. The price is $ 29.99 (less than 25 euros). When you buy it, they give you a promotional poster of Lego, the movie, of which we have already spoken in Peques and More.

Apparently the toy is only a reproduction of the Rover Curiosity with a design similar or equal to the original posed by Stephen Pakbaz which has a wide photographic catalog of his project on Flickr and that reached the more than 10,000 votes needed in Cuusoo to be carried out. Stephen is dedicated in real life, as a mechanical engineer, to work in technology and tools applied to the exploration of outer space. He currently works at the Orbital company.

Curiosity is not part of the products of Lego Education of which more and more can be read on the Internet. In my daughter's school they practice with them in robotics and María, from Crea Momentos, recently told in her blog the experience with Lego We Do.

We congratulate Lego because he does not stop making creations with high demand from the amateur community and taking advantage of his products to open new fronts of great interest especially in the education. And this is one of the great attractions of this company that schools are taking advantage of with programs such as the First Lego League.
