Next Friday, April 25 will take place in Madrid a workshop of recommendations for pain management in children with cancer, in which authors of the "Clinical Practice Guide for Pain Management in Children with Cancer" will participate.
The workshop will be held by the Cris Against Cancer Foundation, an organization dedicated exclusively to research against this disease. The "Clinical Practice Guide for Pain Management" can be downloaded in pdf. from this link.
No doubt sick children go through a hard trance and their families suffer with them, so any help to make the hospital stay lighter or treatment is welcome.
The workshop, practical and completely free, will be based on the Guide we have mentioned and will be attended by parents of children with cancer, young people who have overcome this disease, nurses and specialists in oncology.
This is a meeting led by Investén-iscii, the Health Care Research Unit of the Carlos III Health Institute, authors of the Guide. After the workshop there will be an act to present the results of Cris Contra el Cáncer's research.
