As if they were not human beings, as if they really owed us something, as if someone's life, or the future of the planet, depended on their performance in a party. Come on man, if we talked about an investigator about to find the cure to prevent everyone from becoming zombies in the next 24 hours I could understand his absence in the birth of his wife. Outside of that situation, or similar, I can't understand it.
Similarly, I cannot understand that, so as not to miss it, childbirth is scheduled on a specific day and there is a provocation of childbirth or a C-section. I don't understand it because the only one who knows when a full-term baby is is the baby. The mother does not know it, the father does not know it and the gynecologist does not know it.
Only the baby and this is important, because although a 37-week-old baby has always been considered full term, just like a 42-year-old baby, recent studies say that at the level of health and adaptation to life at birth, it is very different.
Why play to know more than nature? I don't know, that's why I don't understand it and that's why I speak today of Roger Federer and I applaud his decision, although it does not differ much from mine.
