Do you know the baby-shaped pears? They are in China

Many parents have a habit of trying to make the children's dishes look relatively fun so that before entering through the mouth they enter through the eyes and that of eating entertains them a little more. I am not a fan of these methods, I guess because for me food is food and I eat it because I like it and I'm hungry, and not so much because it looks good, but sometimes it can be a way to bring food that, of otherwise, they might not try.

I'm talking about the presentation of the dishes, but can you imagine eating a food directly with a different form than usual? It is not something new because in some countries they have made watermelons square or zucchini shaped like a star, but personally, I had never seen baby shaped pears, and apparently can be found in China.

They are baby-shaped pears with eyes closed and arms forward and there are those who call them "Budha babies" because of their resemblance to Sidharta Gautama's representations.

How do they do them? With something as simple as ones plastic molds that they place in the fruit so that, as it grows, it takes on the shape of the mold.

They reminded me of some molds that I bought some time ago and that we have used on occasion for eggs. Thanks to them, an egg is shaped like a bunny, car, bear, etc. and as I found them so curious I told you in their day.

The only downside is that eating things that have the shape of a baby gives me a bit of a bit of repair, such as those who, to celebrate the birth of a baby, order a baby-shaped cake and then eat it. But hey, It is still a pear, so who knows if we will soon see in Spain pears shaped like a baby, or with other shapes.
